There are quite a few pics on this blog, and if you keep scrolling down, I put some new ones of Macie on. We had Callie and Zeke's birthday party this weekend. Many of you know Zeke has been celebrating his "half" birthday in the summer for a swim party for several years, and 2 years ago, we combined his half and Callie's "whole" birthday. We decided to do that again this year, and had a great time with family and friends. The kids were in that pool for hours! The picture you see above is Kendall, our cousin--while I"d love to give her credit for having a whole orange in her mouth, it's actually only a quarter piece! I have to acknowledge the bittersweetness of the day, all of us feeling the loss of Brad in particular on this occasion--he loved celebrating Zeke's birthday and having his parties. I believe it was just as he would have had it--swimming, friends, family, and cake! However, it really was a "super fun day" as Callie described it. It's so wonderful to watch these two kids grow, loving each other, their friends, and their family. Thank you God for Zeke and Callie!

Hey! We do NAET - natural Allergy Elimination Therapy. The theory is that it's one of several treatments (like acupuncture) that work with the body's energy fields. It helps the body clear the allergy on its own. Basically, the hold a vial of what they are allergic to for 20 min - I tuck it into his diaper, and they do some acupressure on his back. I know that it sounds kind of voodoo-ish, but she is a Christian, and was willing to try it with Blake because Tara McClure did it with her kid and said it worked. So, we did it with Blake and it worked, we did it for Seth- he was allergic to pineapple- and it worked. Cullen is almost done with treatments, so we should get to try dairy again on Saturday. I will let you know how it goes. For dairy they treat all the components: enzymes, proteins, milk sugars (lactase and lactose), and calcium, so it takes a while. I know this sounds weird, but it is definitely doing something to his little system b/c he breaks out in a rash after every treatment and it lasts a day. She says it's because he is even more sensitive to dairy than Blake was. If you are interested, you can find an NAET provider on NAET.com - I would highly recommend it.
