Trunk-or-Treat

Our church had their Trunk-or-Treat tonight, so the kiddos got to wear their costumes for the first time. Jack has requested to be Captain Hook for some time, and Callie, Tinker Bell. They looked really cute! I always like to see them and their little friends all dressed up. Jack immediately found someone to joust with (Luke). Unfortunately, my camera decided to quit working about halfway through the night, so this is all I got!

Miniature Horses and the Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to a farm that raises miniature horses that was having a pumpkin patch/fall festival on Saturday. The kids, especially Callie, got a kick out of the "baby grown horses". Jack isn't too fond of any animal bigger than himself, so he chose the absolute smallest horse to ride!

My Princess

I took this picture last Sunday after Church. Just thought it was too cute. She is growing up way too fast!

Tag result

Well, I'm just now catching on to the tag thing--way late on this one, but went ahead and did it. Stephen tagged me with 6th folder, 6th photo. This is Jack this time last year, making his "cheese" face. The picture was actually taken in David Anderson's house.

Baby Conversation

Mommy: "Jack, what do you think the baby is going to be?
Jack: "a boy"
Mommy: "why?"
Jack: "because that's what I want"
Mommy: "what if it's a girl?"
Jack: "well, then there has to be 2 babies, because I want a boy!"

I'm almost dreading finding out what it is after this conversation!!

Ice Cream

Jack enjoyed a chocolate-dipped cone from Dairy Queen, and so did his face!!

A Boy and His Boots

Jack has decided that he likes wearing boots with everything, especially shorts and t-shirts. I recently got him this hat as well, so now he is Cowboy Jack much of the time!

Bedtime Stories

I just thought this was sweet! When Daddy reads stories, he usually picks a Disney tale of some sort, which usually end up being a little long for Jack's ultra-short attention span, but they both still enjoy being close to Daddy.

Pre-pumpkin pumpkin pictures

These aren't "official" pumpkin pics, but the kids were in the posing mood, so I took advantage!

This is the story of a beautiful pet rock "Minnie", created by the lovely and talented Callie for her school project. Minnie was much loved by Callie, who was very proud of her first "project".

Then, along comes the dreaded and terrible brother Jack, who decides that anything remotely round is a ball, and decides to throw the rock onto Grammy's tile floor. Here you see the destruction! Fortunately, the lovely and very patient Callie forgave her brother quicker than anyone expected!

Catching Up

Wow! Sorry I haven't updated in so long! Basically we have been on the run since Hurricane Ike, with only a few days spent here in the last 3 weeks. We finally regained electricity Sunday--yea!! We have been gone, and a lot of the time without internet access, so I haven't made the announcement I have been meaning to, but we are expecting number 3!! I am 12 weeks along, and so far, everything looks great. Below, you will find pics from this past month, and our "Hurrication". Enjoy!

Ringbearer

Jack was asked to be the ringbearer in my youngest cousin's wedding. I thought he'd do ok, but when we got to the church, he completely flipped out! Most of these pics are from after the wedding, when of course, he was fine! He did walk down the aisle, but only because Mommy was right behind him! The video is him dancing with all the little girls at the reception--I just thought it was too cute!

Playdate

We got to get together with the Perkins kiddos and Livingston twins while in College Station.

Research Park

While in College Station, I took the kids to Research Park, a large area close to the campus, to run some energy out. I managed to get some cute pictures in. Our day didn't end too great however, when Jack got stung by a yellow jacket. It could have been worse--there were hundreds of them!

College Station

We left Austin and went to College Station, waiting to go back to Baytown after Ike. Our electricity was still off, and traffic was bad--so much devastation. We stayed with Bobby--I think we took a toil on him! Bryan had to go back and start cleaning up the debris, and his school actually started the Wednesday after Ike. While in College Station, we caught up with Bari, who is a freshman at A&M. She is the daughter of our good friends from New Braunfels--the kids love her!

Hurrication

Well, we ran from Hurricane Ike, and first went to Austin to stay with Alli. While there, we drove to Kerrville one day to be with family, as the Wims had gone there. The cousins have so much fun together! I was also able to catch up with my long-time friend, Tani.
