Princess Party

Saturday was Callie's birthday party--Princess themed, if you can imagine that! It was really cute. She dressed up in her favorite, Belle, and took pictures with each kiddo from her throne (cousin Kaelyn is pictured). Then the kids had fun making crafts (boys made shields and swords, girls , well, girly things), playing games, eating cupcakes. Callie had wonderful help from her cousin Zeke on the gift-opening! She didn't have to worry about him or brother Jack taking any of those gifts--girl and princess stuff to the max! It was a fun time.

Jack Hammin' it Up

Jack has become quite the little camera hog! He likes me to take pictures of him, and thinks up his own "poses", so to speak. He dressed himself for these pictures--wanting to show off his Cars hat, new tie-dye shirt, Cars shorts (yes, we are so in to that movie!), and "new" tennis shoes--borrowed from a friend. Finally, he wanted to show his "really big muscles"!

5 Years Old!

I can't believe it!!! My little girl is 5 today--I really didn't think this day would come. I guess because she'll be starting school in the fall, this birthday was particularly hard on me--I'm so not ready for this! She had a great day, though. We went to Build-a-Bear, ate at the "yummy chicken place" (Pei Wei), and she had VBS tonight at Grammy's church, then presents and cake! Jack isn't quite sure about all of this, and keeps insisting that his birthday is next, and then it's his "turn to be 4"! Grammy got him a little something, too.

Beach Fun

We enjoyed a day at the Galveston beach last weekend with one of my oldest and bestest friends Mandy and her sweet family. Callie and Lauren are 2 years apart, and my Jack and Mandy's Jack are less than 6 months. It was a beautiful day!

Bath Time

My kids are probably getting too old for "together" bath times, but aren't they still so cute?!!

Go Astros!

We enjoyed a night at the Astros game last week. Although it's a long time to keep Jack "caged", he did well, as did Callie. Bryan, true to himself, gave both of the kiddos many stats on various players, and tried to convince them who "their" favorite players are!

Star of the Show

Callie had her first big dance recital today! She did perfectly, and was so adorable. She had 3 different routines: ballet, tap, and jazz. I was a "backstage mom"--I'm not sure who is more exhausted, me or Callie! It was a fun day.

More Cousin Time

While Brad and Jenny are getting settled in Germany, the kiddos are spending a few days with us, and the cousins are having a ball, as usual! We'll see how much they still love each other in a few days!

Memorial Day

Hope you all had as much fun on Memorial Day weekend as we did! We spent half the time with my Mom's family at a lake house, where the kids (especially Callie) spent the whole day in the water, and loved jumping off the pier. Then we were at Brad and Jenny's for a fun but prayerful time before they left for Germany to pursue treatment for Brad. All in all, a wonderful weekend!
