Number Three...Has a Name!!!

We had decided on a name, and have decided to go ahead and share it. This is quite unusual for us, as with the first 2, we had several choices, but couldn't settle on one until we saw her/his face. This time, it just clicked. Her name is Macie Rae Hanna! My middle name is Rae, as is my Dad's (though his is spelled Ray). These are some of my ultrasound pics I scanned in. These are sometimes hard to tell...the 3-D one is a head-on view of her, all snuggled into a ball; with her hands up in front of her bent-down head, and her little feet folded up. The regular ultrasound pic is her profile--head on the right, hand and foot up in the air.

Lil' Artist

I thought the kids looked cute today, painting away with a new paint set Callie got from Santa. (Yes, I am just now brave enough to get it out!!)

"Ouchy"....Again!!

If you can see past the completely cheesy smile Jack gave me for this picture, you can see his scraped up nose and a scrape across his previous scar--just had to post this because it proves how very boy he is! He was running outside, fell right onto his face on the driveway--another facial catastrophe, although of much lesser proportion than the pole incident!!! Not so much crying, either!

Great Friends

I mentioned in the post below that we got to spend some time with the kid's "uncles", David and Stephen. We also got to meet Stephen's friend, Briann (not sure if I spelled it right)--the kids immediately loved her! The kids love their "Bobby" and Stephen, and I love that they love them! We are so blessed to have these guys in our lives, and the lives of our children. I also had to sneak in a couple of other pics of the kids in their church clothes, just looking cute!

Aggie Weekend

We went to College Station this weekend, and really had a great time. We were able to spend some time with our good friends David Anderson and Stephen Grove and enjoyed an Aggie Basketball on Saturday (although we lost!). The kids ran around on campus and let Mommy take lots of pictures!

Getting Bigger!

The kids are really starting to get in to the new baby idea; and even Jack is not quite so upset, at least most of the time! He still doesn't like to hear me tell someone that "it's a girl", but he does talk about helping me change diapers, put new clothes on her, and "give her a sword to play pirates with him"! Callie is very excited, and I'm a bit worried because she seems to think that the baby will come out immediately ready to put on a ballerina dress and dance with her!

Jack and The Pole

Well, we have now had our first experience with a child receiving stitches! Last weekend, Jack was outside, when as usual, he took off from a standing position to running 90 mph---straight into a metal pole! And, actually, hit the corner edge of the square pole. I can't begin to tell you how many times he has almost done that--so many times, so many narrow misses! His forehead split neatly in a vertical line, and he got 3 stitches. I think the scar will be minimal, if you can even see it in a few years. I took him to my office where one of the physicians took on the job--it was a big one! Jack was VERY NOT HAPPY about the whole situation--I have never seen him so hysterical, angry, scared! I held his head still, a nurse held his arms down, a student held his legs. He was screaming phrases such as, "let me go right now" and "don't you do that"! I actually thought he might either pass out or throw up. Bryan's cousin Gena and Jenny's mom Paula were out in the waiting room (they had accompanied us there), and they heard everything--as likely did the people above and below my office!!! Tonight, I took the stitches out with Bryan's help, and again, Jack was not thrilled; lots of crying. When we were done, Bryan asked if tonight was anything like the day he got the stitches--no comparison!

Our Family

These are some family pics that were taken at the Hanna Christmas gathering--will likely be our last one before baby #3 is here!

Outside Fun

When Zeke was over the other day, the kiddos had a grand time riding on the outside toys. I have never heard such a long time of continuous laughter! Jack was chasing them, and when he would catch up and bump them, they all would burst into "the sillies", as Callie calls it when you laugh really hard. I found a new thing, www.scrapblog.com for those of you who are into scrapbooking, and I tried to put my new page on here, but I don't know if you can see it that well...

Dress-Up Day

Before starting Kindergarten, Callie played with her dress-up stuff almost daily. Over the break, she managed to find some time to get into it again, and I just had to snap some pictures! Notice the theme of cowgirl boots!

Family Fun

Last week most of Bryan's family was here, and the cousins literally played all day everyday; and most of it outside since it was such beautiful weather. It's really fun to watch them play together; while I don't like the circumstances surrounding Brad obviously, I am so thankful of the time this family gets to spend together, and the memories those kiddos are making!

Christmas Morning

I know I am out of order, since you 'll see the next blog down is New Year's Eve--sorry!! I forgot to put the pics on from Christmas Morning. The kids' age right now is so fun--they totally get the whole Santa thing, gifts, etc... I think Callie's favorite gift is a huge stuffed horse from Santa (what in the world was he thinking?!), as well as some art work supplies (she is constantly drawing/coloring). Jack got a big car-carrying truck, but he really likes the Texans helmet and jersey set--wore it off and on all day! They also got some great stuff from their Aunt Alli and Grammy and Papa, including the Smartcycle for Jack, Barbie 4-wheeler for Callie, and a fish tank for Callie. (again, what was Alli thinking?!) Our family got the Wii from Bill and Jane--that will be fun!!

New Year's Eve

We spent the earlier part of New Year's Eve at the Wims with the whole fam. The families who brought us food that evening also brought a "party package" which was a really neat idea--hats, glow sticks, confetti poppers--we all had fun with it! Brad came outside and helped put the glow sticks together and helped the kiddos do the confetti poppers--the whole family (adults included) was having a good time, acting goofy. I always hate a little bit to see the year end--I don't want to get older another year, and watch the kids get even bigger--but I am excited about 2009 because I know that God is working in Brad, and I am ready to see His miracle!
