Rodeo Time

It's Rodeo Time in Houston, and we took the kids for an afternoon of animals, carnival rides (oh, joy), farm/agricultural education, bull riding...and of course, all the yummy food!! Callie could have stayed in the petting zoo the whole time, I think. Macie loves the animals--until they get close, then she panics! Jack wanted to ride every ride that existed, and play every game. They all really enjoyed the rodeo; Macie called the bronco riding "jumping horsies" and laughed when the cowboy fell off...not very polite, really. We even got to stay for a few songs of Martina McBride before everyone started falling apart...a fun family evening!

Little League Opening Day Parade

Well, it's started! Baseball Little League kicked off this weekend with a parade. Jack's team is the Rangers, and he looks so cute in his uniform! Bryan is the coach, and is really excited about being involved this season. Grammy and Papa, Alli, and Baby Leo came to watch the parade, and of course, the weather was not great--windy and cold! After the parade, the rest of us went back home, but poor Bryan and Jack were out in the cold most of the day since Jack didn't play until later. Callie is playing softball...pics of her later!

Preschool Art Show

Jack's preschool recently displayed art they had been working on over the past few months...just a

neat way to let the students "show off" to the parents. Jack's art included (clockwise) a train, mitten, thunderstorm, "something I copied", and a cheetah in a tree. Awesome!

Window Shopping

I just loved this picture...I think they were looking at some squirrels or something, but Macie is very in tune to Jack--listens to him, watches him, copies him. He pesters her like crazy, but loves her, too...cute big brother!

Fashion Birthday Party

Callie was recently invited to a birthday party for a little girl in her class, and the theme was Fashion Runway. The girls each came dressed in their own stylish do, got some make-up applied, then walked a "runway", while someone read about each girls' hobbies, etc...very cute and Callie had a super time! I love her "style"...Punky Brewster-ish...funky, and cute!

Who Ya Callin'?

I love watching Mae do new things, and lately she has been walking around with a purse and a "hello" (phone), calling all the people she loves (most often it's Papa). So cute! She'll just sit there and have a conversation...she's growing fast. :(

Love is in the Air...

Well, I did my first major school mom goof-up this year, on Valentine's Day. Macie's party had been the week before, then I had Jack and Cal's on the same day. I made it to Jack's, it was cute, took pictures, blah, blah. Then went to Callie's---and it was over. I had missed the time by an hour! Poor thing. She was pretty disappointed, but, didn't make it too hard on me! Luckily, I had sent her a balloon, flowers, and stuffed animal (Senior fundraiser) earlier in the day, so she forgave me!

Baby Leo

Baby Leo came for a short visit (wish his Mommy), and the kids got to give him some lovin'. I thought Macie's faces were hilarious..she was hamming it up! She likes to hold him, asking, "I hold it?"

Dress-up Time

A few weeks ago during some of the cold weather days, the kids and I decided to have a fashion show. Callie used to be SOOO into dressing up, and actually wore a ballerina tut everyday. It makes me sad that she is starting to put that behind her, but, Jack still enjoys it, and Macie is starting to have fun with it, too. Jack was involved in this "session", but for some reason, I didn't get any pics of him.
