Aggies For Christ Come to Baytown

The Aggies for Christ came to Baytown in January, led by Lans Martin. Lans and his sister Megan are well known to us from New Braunfels. They were amazing kids, and have grown into incredible young adults, and such wonderful leaders for the Lord. The kids really enjoyed having the Aggies around! Three girls stayed with us, including Megan, Lans' girlfriend (now fiance'!)Melissa, and Clare. Our neighbors kept Lans and his roommate. The Aggies did the usual skit show, which was great, but aged us 'ole Ags as we sat on this side of the show! Macie received, er, gave her first kiss to someone other than Mommy or Daddy... a quite handsome little dude, Caleb Cox! Scott and Alli were in for the fun, too. Wonderful weekend!

Girls' Night Out

Aahh...no kids, no cleaning, no laundry...just us girls and food! I love these girls! As you can see, it took Val and I a few takes to get a good picture...And Jen just kept snapping away, and laughing...

Cuteness

I love taking pictures of Macie. I know I am biased, but I think she is pretty cute! I love the picture of her hugging Grammy. I think, at least for now, she looks alot like her Daddy.

Little Helper

Finally! I have a helper with all the laundry! Whew! Macie really loves to take each and every piece out of the laundry basket, whethor it was folded or not...but she hasn't quite learned to put it all back! However, as it can entertain her for as long as 20 minutes, I guess that's a fair pay-off!

Finally, Some Sun!

We enjoyed some outside time at some point in January, amid the day after day of rain and cold yuck!

Preschool Time

We enrolled Jack in preschool 2 days a week for this semester. He is loving it! I think it's really good for him to have some social time, learn some structure, while having things taught with Christian values. Callie and I are able to get some good schooling done on our own, too!

Bath Time

Sweet brother and baby sister!

Dress-up Time??!

Ok, I know I will get flack from my father-in-law for posting this picture, but, oh well! Since I use the blog for my "scrapbook" so to speak, I had to put this bit of history on here...While Jack is very much "all boy", he does still like to play dress-up with his big sister, and Callie takes full advantage of that! I do have to say these occasions happen less and less, as he dons the fireman and army costumes more and more....

Christmas in San Antonio

Ok, big post! This Christmas was a very different year for the Hanna-Bosse-Wims family as anyone could guess. We typically rotate through houses every year, but this year, everyone agreed we needed something different and very "un-normal". While we all knew that Brad's absence would be felt no matter where we were, at least being somewhere new and somewhat unfamiliar would offer some distraction, and more of an opportunity to focus on each other. So, we chose San Antonio! We stayed at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch, which I would recommend to anyone for a affordable, fun, great place to vacation--rooms are awesome, facilities are great, lots of recreational things on site, and right across from Sea World! The resort has a big indoor swimming pool and slide, and an outdoor pool, slide, and lazy river. Some of the kids (and even Jenny!) braved the 40 degree weather to swim in the outside pool..irregardless of heated water--that's just plain silly! Several of us went to Sea World the first day, and that was fun seeing everything "in the Season". We also enjoyed the River Walk. And, best of all, Santa was able to find us there! In my humble opinion, it was a wonderful time, spent just as Brad would have wished for us--having fun and enjoying each other's company at this special time of year. We miss you Brad, but thank you for always showing us the importance of family!
