We had decided on a name, and have decided to go ahead and share it. This is quite unusual for us, as with the first 2, we had several choices, but couldn't settle on one until we saw her/his face. This time, it just clicked. Her name is Macie Rae Hanna! My middle name is Rae, as is my Dad's (though his is spelled Ray). These are some of my ultrasound pics I scanned in. These are sometimes hard to tell...the 3-D one is a head-on view of her, all snuggled into a ball; with her hands up in front of her bent-down head, and her little feet folded up. The regular ultrasound pic is her profile--head on the right, hand and foot up in the air.Monday, January 26, 2009
Number Three...Has a Name!!!

"Ouchy"....Again!!

If you can see past the completely cheesy smile Jack gave me for this picture, you can see his scraped up nose and a scrape across his previous scar--just had to post this because it proves how very boy he is! He was running outside, fell right onto his face on the driveway--another facial catastrophe, although of much lesser proportion than the pole incident!!! Not so much crying, either!

Great Friends

I mentioned in the post below that we got to spend some time with the kid's "uncles", David and Stephen. We also got to meet Stephen's friend, Briann (not sure if I spelled it right)--the kids immediately loved her! The kids love their "Bobby" and Stephen, and I love that they love them! We are so blessed to have these guys in our lives, and the lives of our children. I also had to sneak in a couple of other pics of the kids in their church clothes, just looking cute!
Aggie Weekend
We went to College Station this weekend, and really had a great time. We were able to spend some time with our good friends David Anderson and Stephen Grove and enjoyed an Aggie Basketball on Saturday (although we lost!). The kids ran around on campus and let Mommy take lots of pictures!

Getting Bigger!
The kids are really starting to get in to the new baby idea; and even Jack is not quite so upset, at least most of the time! He still doesn't like to hear me tell someone that "it's a girl", but he does talk about helping me change diapers, put new clothes on her, and "give her a sword to play pirates with him"! Callie is very excited, and I'm a bit worried because she seems to think that the baby will come out immediately ready to put on a ballerina dress and dance with her!

Jack and The Pole

Well, we have now had our first experience with a child receiving stitches! Last weekend, Jack was outside, when as usual, he took off from a standing position to running 90 mph---straight into a metal pole! And, actually, hit the corner edge of the square pole. I can't begin to tell you how many times he has almost done that--so many times, so many narrow misses! His forehead split neatly in a vertical line, and he got 3 stitches. I think the scar will be minimal, if you can even see it in a few years. I took him to my office where one of the physicians took on the job--it was a big one! Jack was VERY NOT HAPPY about the whole situation--I have never seen him so hysterical, angry, scared! I held his head still, a nurse held his arms down, a student held his legs. He was screaming phrases such as, "let me go right now" and "don't you do that"! I actually thought he might either pass out or throw up. Bryan's cousin Gena and Jenny's mom Paula were out in the waiting room (they had accompanied us there), and they heard everything--as likely did the people above and below my office!!! Tonight, I took the stitches out with Bryan's help, and again, Jack was not thrilled; lots of crying. When we were done, Bryan asked if tonight was anything like the day he got the stitches--no comparison!
