Mini-Vacation

We recently enjoyed a "mini-vacation" to Sea World and Kerrville. Bryan had one week off between finishing with school (!!!) and before starting a class that will prepare him to take the Bar in July. We went to San Antonio, and stayed in a really neat hotel, the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch, which I would recommend to anyone on great price and awesome accomodations! The kids had a blast in the swim areas, and they even had "personal" campfires where we could make smores--yummy! We enjoyed Sea World 2 days, and on the second day Gena and the boys joined us, which was great. We then went on to Kerrville, where Alli joined us in visiting the rest of the family except for Krista and Kendall. It's so fun to watch our kids around their cousins--they love being with them! If you are wondering about the "dancing" pictures, someone put on a cd of George Strait, and we all grabbed a partner! I am way behind on blogging--so I"ll be trying to catch up in the next several days...

Bryan

Bryan graduated from law school in May 2009. He took his Bar Exam ...and passed!!! He has finally started putting all of that studying into practice, and is really enjoying where he works. True to his usual ways, he has succeeded in finding a workplace full of other sports fanatic guys, and is already plugging in to all sorts of fantasy teams, etc...However, I am also very happy to report that there is also a mens' Bible study conducted by his collegues every other week...isn't that incredible?! We are so proud of him and his accomplishments!

Callie

Callie is 8. She is smart, funny, stubborn, and VERY in love with stuffed animals, horses, art, and jokes. She is very meticulous--a definite perfectionist--must have got that from her dad! She likes to play outside, play softball, and collect rocks. She has already had a lot of orthodontic work, and has been very brave through it all, sporting her "Aggie colored" rubber banded braces with pride. She is a good big sister, though Jack doesn't take to her "mothering" very well! She has done super in school, and we are very proud of our firstborn!

Jack

Jack turned 6 in November. He is so adorable--funny, crazy, sweet, lovable, and quite possibly one of the most stubborn, competitive kiddos I've ever met! He is all boy--loves baseball, monster trucks, cars, super hero stuff, and trains. He runs super fast, but often falls, usually hitting his head in yet another place. He is a rule-follower, to a fault, and loves his structured routine. He is also loving, kind, and thoughtful. He loves attention from Callie, but usually goes about getting it by being the typical "pill" little brother. He is so sweet to Macie, and she adores him, and we do, too!

Macie

Macie is such a blessing. She is an odd combination of a fireball, extrememly stubborn, yet sweet, and almost always happy. She is constantly smiling and loves to cuddle. She definitely has Daddy (and Mommy!) wrapped around her sweet little finger. She is friendly to anyone she meets, and so far seems fearless--sometimes a scary combination! She insists on being a "big girl" and the very old age of 3. She loves baby dolls, Jack's cars, running everywhere, and being the center of attention. She runs the show with Callie and Jack--and she knows it! She is so fun, and we love her!
