What a fun Memorial Day 2012!  Although we started the weekend with Callie's All-Star tournament, we were able to finish it out with family, on my Mom's side.  There are lots of kiddos that my kiddos love playing with--so add in sun, water, good food--fun times!  Even Petey the dog was able to go (last minute plans aren't good for boarding places! :) ) Macie especially enjoyed playing with her cousin Lucy, as well as all of the "big girls".  Jack and Callie had tons of fun tubing behind the jet ski, and even my Mom took her turn!  I am quite sure you noticed the picture of the man in hawaiian looking shorts, too-tall socks and SAS shoes...yep, that's my Dad.  Probably only about the 5th time in my lifetime he's ever worn shorts!  It really is neat watching my kids enjoy the same things that I used to find so fun...great memories.

Callie's End of Year party had the theme of a 50's Sock Hop!  We struggled to find appropriate costume attire, mostly Mommy's fault..I waited too long to try and find a poodle skirt, then Callie didn't have a good theme shirt, so she ended up wearing one of mine!  Then I forgot the whole 50's scarf-in-the-hair or around-the-neck thing...oh, well!  She still had a fun rockin' time!

Conquered Kindergarten

Well, it's over...Jack's Kindergarten year...so hard to believe!  It went so quickly!  It was definellately an adventure!  Seems like I remember Callie's K year being pretty uneventful--she sailed right through with only some emotional upset around the time of Macie's birth; Jack's has been full of ups and downs, happy days and sad days, but overall, a good year.  He has learned so much with Mrs. Pett, who really, truly knows him- his character, his talents, and his struggles, and believes in him.  How wonderful is it to have a teacher that teaches her kiddos God in all of her lessons everyday??  So great.  As to be expected, Jack ended his year with a bang--he got sick yesterday and still was not feeling well for his "Blessing Day"...but he stuck through it, anyway!  We are so proud of him and how he has grown this year.  Mrs. Pett is right--God has blessed Jack with many talents!  At the bottom is a picture of his first day of school back in August...what a difference!

The Giants

Wrapping up the Spring Baseball season...the Giants did awesome-ly!  Especially my little man...he is fun to watch.  Bryan did a great job coaching as well.  This night Jack received the Game Ball, and Grammy and Papa were there to watch!
