MeMe Camp Day #1
Yeah for MeMe Camp! Bryan's Aunt Linda, "MeMe", is doing a camp for all the cousins for the first time this year. She has all sorts of fun activities planned for them, and they are super excited to be here! We are looking forward to tons of together time. Everyone basically just played at enjoyed being together today. Supper at Fuddrucker's, play at a local park where Kae Kae and Callie played in the white gravel dust, Hide and Seek in the yard until dark, boy's shower outside with the water hose...whew! They all look great and energized today...we'll see what they look like on Day #4! Stay tuned..

Memorial Day Family Fun
What a fun-filled Memorial Day! It started with Callie playing in the State Softball Tournament for All Star teams, in the 6U division. She did great and had fun, but her team lost in double elimination. We then headed to the lake at my Mom's brother's house, along with 40 other family members! And...my Marine brother! We haven't seen him in 2 years, so that was really exciting to have him there. My Aunt Linda loves to have a little parade, so we all wear our red, white, and blue and parade ourselves down the street of her neighborhood, and there are actually people out to watch, and, we even throw candy! My Uncle Terry rides his motorcycle, some people on bikes, and we even carry a cd player playing patriotic music! It's a sight to behold, let me tell you. We had lots of yummy food, tons of swim time, and really just enjoyed being around family that we don't get to see very often. The kids hardly got out of the water the whole weekend, except for Macie---she does NOT like the water so far! Thank you Uncle Terry and Aunt Linda for your generosity..we had a blast!

More Softball...
Callie had her first tournament as part of the All Star Team, the Astros. It was a Round Robin Tourny, which was tough on those 6 year olds! They started playing at 8 in the morning and didn't finish up until 6 games later, at almost 6 o'clock that night...in the heat...really silly! Callie was tough, though, didn't complain, until the very last game, when she looked up at me and said, "Mommy, I just can't do it anymore!" Hopefully the next tournament will be an elimination one! Thankfully, this one was in Deer Park, so I was able to take Macie and Jack to Jen's for a respite and some pool fun. I did feel a little guilty enjoying the pool for a bit while poor Callie and Bryan were at the hot ball field!
