Can't Get Enough of Aggieland!

Another weekend, another Aggie Game! This time we met up with RC Irwin and his son Russell...many of you know them from New Braunfels. We actually think of RC as "honorary Grandpa"! In fact, many people passing commented on RC's "cute grandkids"! The kids enjoyed running and playing on Simpson Drill Field. It's always neat and sort of strange for me to watch my kids playing in the same places where I have so many memories as a college student...I don't think it ever crossed my mind then that my future children would play where I was standing!

Zoo Trip

I picked Callie up from school one day and went straight to the Houston Zoo...the kids have been asking for a while, and the cooler weather that day was perfect. Bryan met us there after work, and it was a fun little outing. Macie LOVED looking at the animals! I thought the new baby elephant was the cutest thing to see.

Cute Pic

Jenny and the kids, as well as Scott and Alli, recently spent the night with us and we took all the kids to a high school football game...that was not wise. They could care less about the game, and just wanted to run around and be crazy! We did get a cute pic, though! Jenny popped in with Macie to get ALL the kiddos...

Soccer Days

Jack is playing soccer for the first time this fall, with the YMCA. And,...Daddy is coaching!! Actually, it is Mommy's name listed as coach, but, Daddy is really doing the job! We are teaming it, and it's been fun. Jack is really enjoying it, and is pretty good! He's just so fast, which gives him a leg up, and is working on ball control. We have enjoyed watching him play.

Aggieland

We took ALL THREE kiddos to an Aggie game a few weeks ago. Before the game, we met up with our friend Jay and his dad, who graciously brought food for our own private tailgate. Jay went to law school with Bryan, and now works for the same firm. Jay and his wife Jami are lots of fun, and have recently moved over close to us, so we are looking forward to lots of fun times with them! Incidentally, Jay is quite tall, and Jack is absolutely fascinated with him. He is constantly, and I mean on a daily basis, comparing Jay with tall things he sees...like big trucks, buildings, statues. He calls Jay the "tallest man in the world"! The game was fun, although Macie, Jack, and I only made it to half time, then, it was TIME TO GO!

Labor Day Fun

We spent some of the Labor Day weekend at Caldwell, at Grammy and Papa's trailer. Beautiful weather, fresh air, and fun family company! It's sort of strange to watch the kiddos play and imagine that in just a few months, there will be another little one, chiming in, making his place. We are so excited for Scott and Alli! Macie loves riding her little 4-wheeler, but also keeps trying to get on the bigger kids' riding toys, but ends up backwards half the time! I love the pic of the Cal and Jack on the swing...with sodas...they LOVE Caldwell!!
