MeMe Camp Day #2

On to Day number #2! Pics are slow to upload, so there will be probably be a few here and there. Kids are having fun! Started the day with everyone writing in their journals that MeMe provided to record fun things or experiences that happened during the day. Then yummy cinammon rolls for breakfast..even Macie enjoyed those! After breakfast, everyone dressed for a morning walk, and enjoyed looking at the creek and the SNAKES that live there!! Apparently, everyone pooped out because poor Ryan came running back to the house to get the golf cart and go back and get everyone! Scott and Alli arrived, and the kids presented them with a baby gift for Snickelfritz (I call it Bean)-- a tie blankie that all the kids helped tie (but Nonnie did most of the tying!). Then there was lunch, more play time, and finally...the water park! We went to a small water park in Bandera, that was super fun and perfect for all the kiddos, down to even Macie. There was one bigger slide that I think Jack did 150 times if he did it once...I expected his whole rear end to be one big blister! I didn't get many pictures of the big kids as I was pretty stuck at the kiddie pool. When we came back from the park, we had dinner then birthday time for Zeke and Cal, with cupcakes and gifts (thank you, MeMe, Nonnie, and Merla!). Then, (yes, the day is still going!), we had baseball time outside with even the adults participating..super fun. Ashton sort of forgot what team he was on...pretty funny. Finally, it was bath time---another outside shower for the boys, and bed time. Kids (and adults!) are super tired! What a fun day!

MeMe Camp Day #1

Yeah for MeMe Camp! Bryan's Aunt Linda, "MeMe", is doing a camp for all the cousins for the first time this year. She has all sorts of fun activities planned for them, and they are super excited to be here! We are looking forward to tons of together time. Everyone basically just played at enjoyed being together today. Supper at Fuddrucker's, play at a local park where Kae Kae and Callie played in the white gravel dust, Hide and Seek in the yard until dark, boy's shower outside with the water hose...whew! They all look great and energized today...we'll see what they look like on Day #4! Stay tuned..

Memorial Day Family Fun

What a fun-filled Memorial Day! It started with Callie playing in the State Softball Tournament for All Star teams, in the 6U division. She did great and had fun, but her team lost in double elimination. We then headed to the lake at my Mom's brother's house, along with 40 other family members! And...my Marine brother! We haven't seen him in 2 years, so that was really exciting to have him there. My Aunt Linda loves to have a little parade, so we all wear our red, white, and blue and parade ourselves down the street of her neighborhood, and there are actually people out to watch, and, we even throw candy! My Uncle Terry rides his motorcycle, some people on bikes, and we even carry a cd player playing patriotic music! It's a sight to behold, let me tell you. We had lots of yummy food, tons of swim time, and really just enjoyed being around family that we don't get to see very often. The kids hardly got out of the water the whole weekend, except for Macie---she does NOT like the water so far! Thank you Uncle Terry and Aunt Linda for your generosity..we had a blast!
