Camera Practice

I got a zoom lens for my camera for Christmas, so I decided to try it out on Macie the other day in the back yard...I think they turned out pretty good! Of course, it helps to have a precious subject!

Opening Day

Callie and Jack's Opening Day for Softball and T-ball was the first weekend of March. They are both very excited about playing. This is Jack's first year, and I think he looks so cute in his uniform! Callie actually seems to sort of know what she is doing after playing last year. The schedule looks busy! 2 practices and/or games a week until the end of April...whew! I can only imagine what it will be like when they are older and Macie joins in...So fun, though! Macie and Papa have a grand time together during the games so that Mommy and Daddy can pay attention to the older two.

Mean Papa!

Papa got poor Jack good! Jack was putting his face very near a big cookie..acting like he was going to lick the icing..so Papa pushed his face down into the icing! It was pretty funny, but the icing went all up in to Jack's nose, and he panicked because he "couldn't breathe", and was quite upset about the whole deal...

Homeowners!!

We are finally homeowners again!! We closed on a house in early March, and we are super excited. We had the absolute best realtors...seriously! It's bittersweet in a way...buying the house and knowing we are moving soon brings to an end the past 3 1/2 years, which have NOT been easy and have been filled with trials and sadness, yet also moments of triumph and joy. God has carried us through, and blessed us with a home that we felt was ours from the moment we walked in. My In-laws have been MORE than gracious in allowing us to live in their home and over-run their lives, and now it's time to be on our own again. Please pray for us during this transition, and especially for Callie and Jack..it will be quite a change for them!

Father-Daughter Banquet

Every year our church (Southeast Church of Christ) has a Father-Daughter Banquet around Valentine's Day. Callie gets VERY excited about this special occasion when just she and Daddy get to go enjoy a meal and fun activities together with other little girls from church. She loves picking out her dress, jewelry, etc...This year, a few days before the banquet, she came to me with a worried expression and asked, "Um, Mommy, since this is a Daddy-Daughter banquet, and Macie is a daughter, does that mean she gets to go, too?" She was very relieved when I explained that Macie isn't old enough to go! Hmmm...what will we do in a few years?!

Summer Sneak-Peak

I recently bought this adorable swimsuit and hat for Macie and decided to try it on her...she is a great model! However, after I got it on, I realized that it fits perfectly RIGHT NOW, so chances are, will be too small come swim season. Sadly, when I returned it, there were no more in her upcoming size, and the store wasn't sure they would get more...it was cute while it lasted!

More Cousin Time!

Poor Jenny had an awful week of illness the first week of March...Strep throat followed by an upper respiratory yuck. We took the kiddos home with us after Sunday church to give her a chance to rest. Our kids were thrilled, of course. They never tire of each other, it seems! We had such a fun time with them. We basically played the whole day, most of it outside. My favorite pictures are of Kae Kae laughing. I seriously have not ever seen her laugh this hard! She literally had tears streaming down her face at one point. What was she laughing at? Well, just Bryan being silly--and I mean, silly, but for some reason, it had her totally cracking up. I love all these kids!
