Aggieland Fun with Zeke

We spent last weekend in College Station and Zeke was staying with us for a few days-the kids had a fun time! We went to 2 or 3 different parks, and also up to the campus (we are trying to go ahead and begin the brainwashing that is necessary for these children of Aggies!). I know I"ve said it a hundred times, but I love watching these cousins play together. We love Zekie and Kae Kae like our own, and are so thankful for the fun times they have together!

Grandpa and Gran Gran's House

We recently enjoyed a visit to my parent's house. We haven't been able to go there too often since Bryan started school, and when we are there, it's usually a rush visit. It was really nice to just be able to relax and let the kids enjoy being with their grandparents. Jack and Grandpa dug for worms so we could go fishing, and we went fishing in my Dad's new pond--both Jack and Callie caught a fish everytime they put their cane pole line the water since Dad has stocked it so well! Jack enjoyed helping Grandpa cook breakfast, and Callie helped Gran Gran make cookies. We went to the Tyler Zoo one day, which was fun. My dad actually worked there as a teenager! True story: While he was working there, there was a time when they needed to do something like health maintenance on the crocodiles they had there (3), and they couldn't figure out how to catch them from the pond they resided in. So, my dad offered to SWIM OUT THERE AND WRESTLE THEM ONE AT A TIME TO THE BANK for a little extra pay...he got out to the middle of the pond, and all 3 crocodile heads disappeared slowly under the water...my Dad decided he had made a poor decision and headed for the shore! Truely, although it's hard to believe after that story, my Dad is an intelligent man! He blames it on his "young, immature ways" at the time! We also helped Dad celebrate his 69th birthday...he doesn't look a day over 55 to me!

Allison's Shower

Allison recently had a wedding shower at her hometown church in Baytown. The hostesses did a great job, and it was a lot of fun. She got tons of nice things!! Callie and Macie both attended, though Macie used the time for her afternoon nap, as did Kae Kae. Quite a few people were there, including Allison's childhood friend Amanda, whom you see doing the silly face with Alli. I also love the picture of Shirley Cox, Bobbie Brodsgaard, and Cindy Reick doing the "Paris Hilton" pose!

Pretty in Purple

We went to a friend's wedding yesterday, and I had dressed the girls in coordinating colors--I love doing that! Poor Jack just gets to wear something neutral. Callie looks like she is posing in the picture by herself, but she's actually watching a tiny ladybug crawl on her left arm! Bryan thought it would be funny for Macie to be "having some bubbly"--she probably would have liked the sparkling white grape juice if there had actually been some in the glass!

Macie's Mobile!!

Well, sort of! She is rolling now! She is has been SO CLOSE for several weeks, and finally has it. She seems to sort of like it on her belly, at least for a little while. I remember when Callie started rolling over, she HATED being on her tummy, and would immediately start crying. I would come and turn her back to her back, and 5 minutes later--you guessed it--she was back on her tummy, and unhappy about it! Macie is so sweet and snuggly--she is almost always happy, and just goes with the flow. How blessed we are!

Lots of Updating

I have put lots of new pictures on today--so just keep scrolling down!

Afternoon Swim

We love to go swimming at the Wims'!! This last time Zeke's neighbors, Stevee and Gavin, joined in the fun. As you can see, Macie didn't really enjoy herself as the water was actually a bit cool. I love the pic of Zeke and the 2 girls--as I snapped it he quipped, "I got two girls"! So like his daddy...Not sure why I didn't get any pics of Jack, but he was there, too!
