Dream Come True

Today was quite possibly the biggest day of Bryan's life! The law firm he is interning with right now has a softball game every summer at Minute Maid Park, where the Astros play--talk about a dream come true for my sports freak husband!! He had the time of his life, made several great plays, and pitched most of the first game for his team. To boot, the announcer for the Astros, Milo Hamilton, announced the games today, and commented on Bryan's performance several times. Bryan ended up with the MVP ball signed by Milo himself. Brad and Jenny were able to join us as well, and the kids had a blast, too. It was really neat to see Bryan having such an awesome day--what an experience!

New Backyard Fun

The kids are the proud owners of a new play gym, many thanks to Grammy and Papa. We've all talked about getting one for a while, and now it's here! Papa spent many hours on the assembly. Papa and Grammy also cleverly figured out to have the slide end in the small "baby" pool we have--the kids love that! The slide is very steep, and it shoots the kids right out into the pool--Jack is so light he almost missed the pool from shooting straight across to the other side!

Rock Star/Fireman/ what?!

Just thought this picture was funny! Jack likes to sing, and he likes to wear his fireman hat--so he does them together!

Caldwell Camp

We spent the day at Bill and Jane's (my in-laws) land in Caldwell. The kids enjoy the wide, open spaces! They got to fish some, look at the cows, ride in the tractor and gator, and get super dirty. And Mommy got to play with her camera! I must apologize for Callie's hair---man, it's awful!

More 4th of July Fun

We spent the evening of the 4th at our church for the picnic, pie-eating contest, games for kiddos, and fireworks. They had those huge blow-up things for the kids inside--Jack really liked that! Someone else at our church owns a "Texans" truck, and Callie thought "her daddy would really like her picture in front of that truck", and she's right! Jack had thoroughly decided that he DOES NOT like fireworks--poor thing, some one set off some black cats nearby when it wasn't expected, and that set the tone for him the remainder of the evening! He was so scared when the actual fireworks started, he was shaking! Awesome cousin Brad pulled out his ipod, and turned on Acapella, put it in Jack's ears, then he went to sleep on Mommy's lap, finally oblivious to the "tewible fiwurks"!

4th of July Fun

I'm so behind on the blog!! These are some pictures from the 4th of July. We spent the majority of the day hanging out with the Wims. It was a wierd day--sunny, then rainy and kind of cool-ish, then sunny again. The kids enjoyed swimming, bubbles, then were forced inside while it rained. Zeke and Jack get a kick out of showing their muscles; Jack thinks sticking out his tummy is his "muscles"!

Princess Party

Saturday was Callie's birthday party--Princess themed, if you can imagine that! It was really cute. She dressed up in her favorite, Belle, and took pictures with each kiddo from her throne (cousin Kaelyn is pictured). Then the kids had fun making crafts (boys made shields and swords, girls , well, girly things), playing games, eating cupcakes. Callie had wonderful help from her cousin Zeke on the gift-opening! She didn't have to worry about him or brother Jack taking any of those gifts--girl and princess stuff to the max! It was a fun time.
